Our Approach
Create a Customized Plan
We start where the student can be successful by
understanding where they began experiencing difficulties
and move forward, using audio, visual, and kinesthetic
learning techniques tailored to the student’s needs.
Student Assessment
We begin with a consultation and review of records to
determine academic needs.
Monitor Progress
We evaluate development and concept comprehension to
track against student goals and continue refining their
plan for ongoing progress.
of Literacy
At Buzzy Learning, we leverage the science of reading.
This means we assess and address the 5 components of literacy to

About
As a passionate teacher and life long learner, Alexa seeks opportunities to unlock the potential of every student
through customized, differentiated teaching approaches.
Alexa began her teaching career as an English language teacher to
students from around the world, ranging from two to sixty years of age.
After more than six years in classroom and 1:1 tutoring sessions for
English learners, Alexa discovered a passion for creative teaching
methods. A beloved ESL teacher, Alexa wanted to better understand
literacy development and how this shapes our communication
potential.
This led Alexa to earn her Masters in Special Education, focused on
diversity of learning styles. Post-degree, she dedicated five years to
public and non-public school classroom teaching in Special Education.
A firm believer in the power of tailored teaching, she has spent the last
few years working as a 1:1 educational specialist focused on
individualized educational learning plans. She finds creative ways to
bring her diverse hands-on experience and broad trainings to every
student.

According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way
bees should fly, and yet, they do. This small wonder
shows that even seemingly simple creatures can
achieve amazing things with the right adaptations.
As bees have unique ways to fly, kids with learning
differences can find their own unique ways to
overcome challenges and achieve their goals. The
science of the bee is a motivating reminder of the
incredible things that can be accomplished with
creativity, confidence, and determination.
